Reach out & follow up
How to use AI calling for initial outreach
Prepare a bounded calling task, review its setup, and turn results into human follow-up.
The outcome
Run an appropriate AI-assisted call with clear instructions and a plan to review the outcome.
Before you start
- Confirm that AI or automated calling is allowed for these recipients.
- Check your available calling setup, allowance, and provider limits.
The workflow
Work through it
- 01
Choose one narrow objective
Define what the call is meant to learn, such as whether the correct owner is open to a conversation. Do not ask the agent to make binding commitments, invent offers, or conceal required disclosures.
- 02
Review the AI calling setup
Open AI calling and inspect the available agent instructions, voice, caller number, and other required controls. Use only the calling resources available to your account.

Prepare appropriate recipients
Use confirmed contact information and apply the relevant consent and Do Not Call checks. Starting from a property list does not remove these requirements.
- 04
Review the instructions before launching
Include your identity, the property context, allowed questions, and what the agent should do when the recipient is not interested. Check that it can stop or hand off appropriately.
- 05
Start small and monitor the result
Use a small permitted test before expanding. Watch for failed starts, capacity limits, or unexpected behavior. If a concurrency limit is reached, wait or reduce the workload rather than repeatedly retrying calls.
- 06
Review evidence and take the next action
Read the available call outcome, transcript, or recording. Verify important statements and create a human follow-up for interested respondents; a completed call alone is not a qualified lead.
Worked example
A bounded introductory call
The agent introduces the caller, follows required disclosures, checks whether it reached the correct person, and asks whether a human follow-up would be welcome. It does not negotiate a purchase agreement.
